When this cartridge was readily available people threw away them away when empty because it was completely sealed. Little did they know that it was refillable but only from the open end where the lead comes out. Nowadays these mechanical pencil cartridges are tough to find because they are no longer on sale in office supply stores and are a highly saught after vintage
